Sophie and James got married on Saturday 19th May with the ceremony and reception both being held at Holkham Hall, the bridal bouquet had a neat and defined shape with the flowers worked slightly on different levels giving a beautiful, soft opulent look. The colour scheme was medium blues with whites flowers included hydrangea, ivory peonies, ‘Avalanche’ roses, ‘Snowflake’ spray roses, with subtle scented freesia and sweet peas with soft powder blue eucalyptus foliages worked throughout adding a natural texture. The bridesmaids bouquets were a single large headed pure white hydrangea head edged in white fluffy gyp with eucalyptus foliages tucked in underneath the gyp for support.
The ceremony took place in the breathtaking Marble Hall Sophie and James wanted to make a feature of the fabulous staircase so this was dressed with lots of foliages, with blue and white hydrangeas, set scented stocks, a few peonies and sweet peas, with pretty white blossom adding a delicate touch. The chairs had a cute posy of fluffy white gyp tied onto the sides of the chairs with ivory satin ribbons, a vase filled with blooms in blues and whites was then placed on the ceremony table that looked lovely as Sophie and James signed the register. I then moved the designs that we on the staircase over to the entrance of the tipi for the evening celebrations.
The reception was in the tipi on the lawn beside the lake, a huge hanging floral ring was above the main seeing area, it was filled with masses of foliages and blossom, with some roses, peonies, hydrangeas and stocks mixed throughout, this made the most amazing feature to the tipi, it looked fab. Sophie and James had trestle tables for the guests to eat at, these were dressed with foliage garlands that ran along the middle of the tables, weaving in-between the hired wood chunks that were for the food platters to be placed on.
The cake was dressed with individually wired flowers that were pushed into the cake in a soft cascading style, flowers including hydrangea florets, spray roses, freesias and gyp, drifts of petals were then scattered around the cake for a soft romantic look. Outside the tipi was an old land rover car, this was going to be used for pics so the lovely couple wanted to dress the front with some flowers and ribbons, so I made a floral garland to run across the front of the car to make it look extra special.
