Ruby and John got married on Saturday 23rd June with the ceremony and reception both taking place at the stunning Voewood, from the beginning I knew Ruby and John wanted something epic for the marquee with the personal flowers having a ultra relaxed, just gathered look. The bridal bouquet was full of stunning blooms arranged randomly with some creeping out creating a jaw dropping relaxed style, flowers included ‘Coral Charm’ peonies, ‘Juliet’ David Austin roses, ‘Cafe Au Lait’ dahlias, ‘Caffe Latte’ garden style roses, white veronica, deep blackcurrant toned ‘Scabiosa’ with subtle olive foliages worked amongst the blooms.
The bridesmaids all had the same flowers but were arranged slightly different from one another, for an informal, relaxed look, all the bouquets had trailing palest blush silk ribbons. The buttonholes were a cluster style made from white veronica, a single spray rose head, with a seed head, silvery brunia pips and olive foliages nestled together, these complemented the bridal flowers and matched in with the relaxed, natural feel. The ceremony took place in the gorgeous gardens at Voewood on the chairs were a single open coral peony with olive foliages, tied onto the chairs with neutral satin ribbons with the ends left long to trail and drift in the wind.
For the reception Ruby and John wanted a statement to wow their guests as they entered the marquee, they were having long trestle tables and wanted log foliage designs to hang over the tables. We came up with hanging long wooden planks from the marquee on which masses of dark green foliages would sit, the foliages were arranged randomly with some trailing down creating a secret garden, organic look.
The wooden planks ran the whole length of all the tables, amongst the foliages were flowers in soft nudes and neutrals flowers including ‘Cafe Au Lait’ dahlias, spray roses, ‘Caffe Latte’ roses and ‘Coral Charm’ peonies. Behind the top table was a massive 8ft round frame covered in masses of dark green foliages with clusters of flowers dotted throughout, these made the most amazing backdrop for the top table, it looked amazing and matched in with the table flowers.
