Karen and Ian got married on the 26th October 2016 with the ceremony and reception both at White Dove Barn, near Beccles. They had a Lord of the rings theme and wanted the flowers to link in with this, so I used lots of ferns, acorns and oak leaves to achieve this. Karen wanted the bouquets to have a relaxed, natural feel so they had lots of textures, with the flowers arranged on slightly different levels to give a informal, ‘just gathered’ look. Flowers such as roses, spray roses, lisianthus, thlaspi, wax flower, and berries with a few other varieties, were mixed with fresh green foliages for a pretty look.
The buttonholes were all made slightly different to one another, all made from flowers that were in the bouquets, they had mini acorns cuddled at the base and backed with ferns. The ceremony room was decorated with trailing ivy and oak branches wrapped around the beams for a gorgeous, romantic look, they also had two massive urn and pillar designs that stood either side of the ceremony table, they were then moved into the barn and placed either side of the top table. At the start of the aisle stood a beautiful iron archway which I dressed with lots of trailing ivy, oak branches and clusters of flowers. The tables had a vase filled with just white phlox and twisted willow stems for a simple, woodland look.
